shutterstock_70577767WGBH, our sister station in Boston, is looking for 100 digital resources to add to its middle school math collection, which will be showcased on PBS LearningMedia.  This challenge is open to students, educators, producers, gamers, programmers and all creative, curious individuals! Winners will receive $1,000 when selected for creating a winning math game, video, info-graphic, or any other creative digital resources.

You can visit to learn more about the challenge and submit your application to be considered for $1,000.  The challenge runs from August 5, 2013 until November 22, 2013 and seeks math resources geared towards middle school students that are loosely aligned with the Common Core State Standards.  While there’s a particular interest in Statistics and Probability, Functions, the Number System, you’re welcome to create and explore any area you’re passionate about.

We hope you and others you know — like your students — will take up the challenge.  Just showing up and trying makes this a win-win situation!
